Izzy & the Network Explorer

Museums are places of both wonder and chaos. Especially the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Small and large packs of kids run from exhibit to exhibit. Ameritech was opening a new communications exhibit in the early 1990's. (Yeah, but it's still relevant) They wanted the kids to learn about the "intelligent phone network".

How do you attract their attention - and how do you keep it? My proposal created a character and a quest that challenged kids to use communication devices (phones) to get tickets to the Bulls game (Remember Michael Jordan?) How do you attract them? Make it look like a video game. How do you keep their attention? Give them a rather proud, colorful and casual character as their "friend". Here's Izzy - the personification of the "intelligent telephone network.
